I was out of the country for 3 years back at the start of the decade. I was pulled over about 6 months after I got back and was taken to jail because they said it was suspended. They said I had a speeding ticket in Elgin North Carolina and need to pay that before I can get my license back. I tried to contact the city hall of that town and turns out there is no such place. When you go to the DMV they tell you to go to another office and they tell you go to another office. All I seem to get is a bunch of run around. Two lawyers have given up trying. I live under my work so I can walk there but he's about to close the doors on the place so soon I will be out of a job. How can I get my license back so I can find a job somewhere else?How do i get my drivers license back?

You can try and solve this yourself, but from the tone of your post, it doesn't sound like you have the patience to do it.

I just moved to Texas can I change my license online?
I just moved to texas from North Carolina. Several people have told me I can change my address on the dmv website and they will send me a new license. But can I change states through the website? Wouldn't they have to get a new picture? I also need to do my vehicle tags etc. Can I do any of that online being from out of state?I just moved to Texas can I change my license online?
When I moved back here from AZ. I had to go into the dmv and physically surrender my lisence. And they'll make you buy a new one I think too. For the car I too think you might need to go into the actual office for this. I know it sucks but atleast you know it gets done. Good luck .. Oh and if you are in San Antonio area the best dmv is the one in Universal City .. I was in and out in like 5 minutes.

I had a lady come up to me at work and ask me if I knew anyone who works at the DMV. I told her no. I then asked why. She said an officer came to her residence and confiscated her licence. She acted as if she didnt know why. I know in MA you need to bring a car and a sponsor for the road test. I don't have anyone i could bring that has a car. Does North Carolina require you to provide the car for the road test? I live in North Carolina and I am selling my car to a friend who now lives in Michigan. This is further complicated by the fact that I will have already moved to another country at the time that she'll be in NC to get the car.
So how do we transfer ownership between states? I've done it before with someone in NC, and they were at the DMV with me, but I have no clue how to do it with someone who is in another state.How do you sell a car to someone in another state - esp concerning registration?

If so, just keep it registered and insured in your name, and sign the title over to her (you might have to have it notarized), and mail the title to her with a bill of sale and the keys. Then, she can come pick it up, drive it back home, and register and insure it there.
