i live in north carolina and can i just go get my title notarized so that way i can just hand the new driver the title and they go do there part?Can i transfer my title to someone without going to the DMV?

the notary needs to see you and the new buyer sign the title. depending on the year you may need an odometer statement. the buyer can take the title with the bill of sale to the DMV. you do not need to go to the dmv
