Do i have to take drivers Ed in order to get my driving permit?

Hello there I just turned 15 and I was wondering if I had to take drivers ed. I already know how to drive and know my signals I really don't see how I have to go when I already know everything. Can't I just go to the DMV and take my test without taking drivers ed? And my state is north Carolina if that helpsDo i have to take drivers Ed in order to get my driving permit?

No, sorry, they won't even let you apply for a limited learner's permit if you don't go to driver's ed...

i think that it depends on where you live. where i live you can get your permit when you are 15 if you are in drivers ed and 15 1/2 if you are not in drivers ed. also you don't have to take drivers ed if you wait until you are 18 to get your license. so if you are 15 and want it join drivers ed or wait till you are 15 1/2.Do i have to take drivers Ed in order to get my driving permit?
Yes, you have to take Driver's Ed to get your driving permit at your age. You would have to be 18 to get your driving permit without taking Driver's Ed.
