Driver's license suspension procedure in North Carolina?

Ugh, I got a speeding ticket for just over the limit in NC (15 mph or more in a 55 mph or more zone), and the DMV website states that the penalty is mandatory 30-day suspension of the license, and a court appearance is required. Question- is the license automatically suspended by the judge on the spot, or do I have the chance to at least drive home from the courthouse? (I am mortified as I try to be so law-abiding.) Thanks.Driver's license suspension procedure in North Carolina?
never heard of actual suspension for this........unless they have changed law in last 4 years(which they might have NC is getting to be a libtard state)

** and if they do suspend ur license they WILL take ti right there.....so NO u cannot drive home....

** the 30 days suspension is a "possible" punishment...not likely if u have a clean driving record otherwise...
