When buying a used car from a dealer in North Carolina, how does the title & tags get taken care of?

i know when you buy from a private person, you have to go to the DMV yourself and pay for the title and tags. Is it the same way at the dealership when buying used? or are they supposed to take care of that?|||In most states, the dealer handles the title, the DMV handles the tag.





So you get the tag by going to the DMV. The title will come, by mail, from the state in 2-6 weeks.
