Is a drivers license required to ride an electric bike in north carolina?

I checked DMV but it doesn't say, does anyone know?|||I would CALL your DMV to make sure. I'm thinking if your electric bike is something like a modified bicycle that doesn't go over 30 miles an hour it would be legal without a license.
